The tallest thing in the room. Stilettos and high heels from eighty-five to a hundred and five millimetres, in Soft KID suede, aniline lamb Nappa and metal leathers that crease to catch the light. Every heel flared at the base for balance and wrapped in Italian leather veneer, every lining lambskin, every footbed memory foam over latex, so the height is worn, not endured. A stiletto is judged standing still and forgiven, or not, after an hour. Blak Sand builds high heels from eighty-five to a hundred and five millimetres, in Soft KID suede, aniline lamb Nappa and metal leathers, on heels wrapped in Italian leather veneer and flared at the base so the height is carried rather than balanced.

Underneath, four millimetres of memory foam over three of latex. The lining is lambskin, so the foot sits on skin and not fabric, and the straps are lined the same way — a high heel usually fails where it touches.
